ABOUT

Maureen Vastardis is a visual artist in Long Beach, California working primarily in photography and watercolor.

Her photographic work focuses on abstract qualities in nature and architecture, exploring color, light, and  composition to create bold, thought-provoking images . Her watercolors offer a more fluid, emotional expression of the natural world.  Her work has been featured in numerous juried exhibitions locally and internationally, including in  Greece, Italy, and the UK, and is held in private collections across the U.S

Maureen holds a BA in fine arts from the

University of Mt. St. Vincent in New York and completed a residency with Cycladic Arts in Paros, Greece in 2024.
